LinkedIn and Got Your 6 are collaborating to ensure that America understands the great career potential its veterans possess and is leveraging this talent pool accordingly. Got Your 6 is a campaign that unites nonprofit, Hollywood, and government partners. Got Your 6 believes that veterans are leaders, team builders and problem solvers who have the unique potential to strengthen communities across the country. As a coalition, Got Your 6 works to integrate these perspectives into popular culture, engage veterans and civilians together to foster understanding, and empower veterans to lead in their communities.

Hiring Our Heroes

LinkedIn and Hiring Our Heroes are working jointly to expand awareness among transitioning service members of the breadth of career development tools available. Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) is a nationwide initiative with worldwide reach, to help veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses find meaningful employment. Working with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s vast network of chambers and strategic partners from the public, private and nonprofit sectors, HOH helps hundreds of thousands find employment through annual job fairs in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, and on military installations overseas. HOH offers a growing array of free online career-based resources.

Institute for Veterans and Military Families

LinkedIn and the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) are collaborating to identify experimental new methods in tracking long-term employment outcomes in veteran workforce development programs. The Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University is the first interdisciplinary national institute focused on the social, economic, education and policy issues impacting veterans and their families. Supported by world-class public and private partners, the Institute delivers leading programs in career, vocational, and entrepreneurship education and training; conducts actionable research and program evaluation; and works with communities to enhance services.

Student Veterans of America

LinkedIn is working with Student Veterans of America (SVA) to identify innovative ways for America’s employers to connect with student veterans, both on campus and post-graduation as a part of a unified SVA Alumni network. Student Veterans of America (SVA) is the country’s premier organization for student veterans. SVA supports all veterans through their transition from the military, educational advancement, and career growth. SVA represents a network of 1,400 chapters on campuses in all 50 states and four countries representing more than 550,000 student veterans at those colleges and universities.
